Description: For sale is a Mercedes (B&S 3103) BBb tuba. It was imported by what is now Conn-Selmer, likely in the 70s-80s. It is an exceptionally well playing horn, with a great German, BBb tuba sound, and is MUCH lighter than my Wisemann 900. Intonation is point and shoot, and this horn (almost) has me going back to BBb for my main contrabass tuba. Valves and slides move well. Old S linkages have a bit of play. I have gotten them virtually silent though. Compression is great, and the horn is consistent from top to bottom. It could use some mild dent work to better, but none of the damage present currently affects playability. Lacquer is about 80%, can strip the rest at the buyer’s request. I’m only selling because another horn I really want has come up for sale. I will include a very nice hardcase with this horn. Please message me with any questions!
