Description: Here are eight of the first ten issues of Jim Steranko's Mediascene, which started publication as Comixscene and changed titles with issue number 7. This publication was designed to please fans of comic books, fantasy and science fiction movies, pulp heroes, great artists and illustrators, and beautiful women. These issues are mostly in good to very good conditin, but please note that these were initially folded when mailed to subscribers. Some of these issues have the original mailing labels, but they are in non-intrusive areas. Each of these eight issues comprise 24 oversize (11.5" by 16.5") pages, except issue 10 which is a special double issue comprising 36 pages. These issues are in good to very good condition considering that the paper is not high quality and sometimes of uneven size, so there are frays at the edges of some pages (not in ways that compromise the image area). (Please examine photos to get a clear sense of the issues' quality). Published between 1972 and 1974, magazine topics include: Doc Savage, John Carter, The Shadow, Thongor, Crime in books and movies, pin-up queens and more.
