Description: This is a sweet vintage piece that depicts part of the Russian folklore story of Masha and the Bear. The piece was produced around 1989 and is hand made from Tver. It is made from wood with a painted and lacquered finish. There are also wood burning details throughout. It is attached to a square base. The piece stands approximately 5 1/4 inches tall, is about 2 7/8 inches long and about 4 inches wide (bears nose to the back of basket). Figurine is in good vintage pre-owned condition. Masha (in basket) does have some wear to her babushka (hat). Please see last three photos for close up of this area.
