Description: Here is one of the hardest to find of the 1950's era "Marxville" plastic buildings made by Marx Toys as accessories for their line of O gauge electric trains, and also meant to compete with the popular Bachmann "Plasticville" buildings of the same era. You just don't see the Western Ranch House all that often (I just checked, and other than a few stray figures, there were none of them on eBay that I could find!). The house itself is made of hard plastic, with the walls and chimneys molded in a dark brown, and the roof and railings molded in yellow. The cabin is COMPLETE, with even the tiny brown stovepipe chimney still here. There are a couple of pieces that have minor issues, which I tried to show in the final 4 photos. The large yellow roof has one of the inner mounting posts broken off and missing. The long straight brown wall has some damage at one end. The two yellow fences for the porch both have intact posts to fit into the roof, but the posts to fit into the porch deck are broken off. And lastly, the medium length straight wall has some damage on one end. As you can see in the initial photo, put together, the building looks great. The damaged spots do not prevent assembly and don't detract unless you are really looking for them (the posts for the porch could be drilled out and replaced, as with the roof post; the others, perhaps you can come up with a repair if you choose). Now as to the accessories, two (2) of the original cowboys are still here, and none of the hard plastic accessories that came with this set. Those figures I believe were ONLY used in this particular set! No original box, but I am going to include some printouts I made years ago from a complete boxed set that sold on ebay. Photos of the parts laid out fronts and backs, plus the assembled shot (no, the parts have NEVER been glued together as far as I can tell), plus closeups of the 4 damage issues mentioned. Priced reasonably for such a rarity, with only actual USPS Ground Advantage or Priority Mail shipping charged to the winner!
