Description: From the original Marumon toyline created by Marusan in the years 1970 and 1971. This is an extremely rare original vintage version from 1970, as the lack of a Marusan footstamp indicates. The reprints from the 90s were painted in similar colors, so it is hard to tell the difference, aside from the footstamp. There are slight differences in color with this vintage version, primarily the vinyl and paints being more muted, and not quite as saturated. This version also has that unique 70s Marusan "SMELL" that the 90s vinyl does not have. For fellow toy nerds, the 90s version smells more similar to the formulation Shirahama uses. Joints are good, and there are no cracks, but there is some paint rubbing and weathering, as is expected of toys from the Showa era played with by children of the time.
