Description: The most iconic Dreadnought guitars has been, and always will be, the Martin D-28. During the 50s, it featured Brazilian rosewood back & sides, ebony fingerboard and bridge, and spruce top. The accentuated mid frequencies are a flat-pickers dream and this guitar demonstrates them in spades. Let me list the pros of this guitar: this is a one owner from a local musician that used to accompany Patsy Cline around town. It has a crack free back and a crack free top (other that the repair under the pickguard…), the playability is still good even though it has never had a neck reset (the action is about 4/32″ with plenty of room on the saddle. The overall tone of this guitar is one of the better we have heard. Now the cons: obviously the additional pickguard may not be ideal for some players, the left handed guard looks very old possibly from the 50s, the oversized guard is newer and it is covering a repair which was patched with a large splint on the inside top of the guitar. The bridge has been replaced (original bridge is included) and the bridge plate (while it appears original) has a small maple cap for the string ends. This guitar comes with original hard shell case. 10 days agoConditionVery Good (Used)Very Good items may show a few slight marks or scratches but are fully functional and in overall great shape.Learn moreBrandMartinModelD-28CategoriesDreadnoughtYear1955Made InUnited StatesPickupNoneString TypeSteelRight / Left HandedRight HandedNumber of Strings6-StringNeck MaterialMahoganyBody ShapeDreadnoughtBack MaterialRosewoodSides MaterialRosewoodTop MaterialSpruceSeriesMartin Post-War EraFretboard MaterialEbonyModel FamilyMartin D-28Color FamilyNaturalActive PreampNoNumber of Frets20
