Description: Here I have for sale a stated First Modern Library Edition of Margaret Mead's Coming of Age in Samoa, published in 1953. Toledano #8 spine. The book is Good with tight binding, moderately stained boards and gilt. Pages are age foxed but there are no writings or other marks or underlining in text. When book is closed you can see stain on page ends but it does not invade the text. The dust jacket is Good with significant chipping along edges and corners and significant sun darkening to panels and spine. The inverse of dust jacket shows 365 titles which is correct for the first edition. The DJ is price-clipped and is protected in mylar. Priced way below the Toledano Guide.
