Manuel Mendive, painter, sculptor, speaker of images, is today the clear example of an artist who surpasses the limits of creation to take us into a magical world with the prodigy of knowing how to narrate the history and life of man in a harmony driven by fervor and devotion. His poetry is more than a facade destined and apprehended to cultural heritage, to the questioning of man and his references; man-nature-spirit-life, from a mythic-religious perspective, teaches us to love our gods, to enjoy the pleasures of the earth, to not fear certain death, enveloping us in that memory that extends to the most collective, most universal extreme. His personal figuration recreates a world where gods, men, animals, and nature itself coexist harmoniously; their relationship is sustained by the principle of constant movement that generates the balance of all forms. His professed faith allows him to access and borrow from his orishas and offerings to describe the master teachings with an animistic and mythological vision of reality.
