Description: This is a rare April 5th, 1926 broadside (single page playbill) from the out-of-town tryout of the E. MAGNUS INGLETON, CLIFFORD GREY and I. B. KORNBLUM musical comedy "PATSY" which played the Mason Opera House in Los Angeles, California. (The production opened March 7th, 1926 at the Mason Opera House and closed there, cancelling the San Francisco tryout and Broadway opening.) ..... The musical starred LOU HOLTZ as "Ben McAllister" and GLORIA FOY as "Patsy" and the cast included ALAN EDWARDS, BILLIE DE REX, GERALD OLIVER SMITH, BETTY GALLAGHER, ERNEST WOOD, MELBA MELSING, ELEANOR LAWSON, JOSEPH NIEMEYER, UNA FLEMING, ADELE WATSON, JACK CROSBY, ESTHER EVERETT and BOB CROSBY ..... DETAILS: The single page, two-sided program measures 6" X 1 1/2" inches, is printed on a newsprint stock and includes full production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes and list of musical numbers, but no cast photos or bios ..... CONDITION: (Please Note!) There are several small edge tears, some paper loss at the bottom, slight discoloration and moderate edge wear. Despite these flaws, this rare program will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
