Description: Lot Of 7 Original Print / First Print Metallica Cassette Tapes + 3 CDs, including Master Of Puppets, And Justice For All, Metallica by Metallica (Self-Titled Black Album), Ride The Lightening, Garage Days Revisited, 72 Seasons, Singles: Enter Sandman / Stone Cold Crazy, and The Unforgiven / Killing Time. Varying states of condition, please see photos and descriptions below! All cassettes and CDs have been play tested and have been listened to multiple times on both sides. CDs show scratches and overall wear commensurate with age and use. Cassettes have not been rewound. • Cassette 1: Metallica by Metallica 1991 (Black Album) Elektra (9 611134) Clear Cassette Tape: this tape plays fine without issue. However, there are a few parts of the tape sound that includes some in-and-out sound between ears (mostly on Track 5, Wherever I May Roam) but the music could be heard loudly and was very listenable for me personally. This cassette rivaled a CDs playback quality mostly (in my opinion). The cassette itself shows heavy scratches to the clear body and someone’s initials look to have been scratched into the plastic as pictured. The original case is included, case shows heavy scratches and wear from sliding. The paper insert is intact but shows white wear and scratches and creases and or stains as pictured. The original printing of this paper insert looks to be a bit faded / the manufacturer’s quality printing isn’t that clear and the paper has torn away from itself by the perforations as pictured. • Cassette 2: Metallica - 1991 Single Black Cassette (Enter Sandman / Stone Cold Crazy) Elektra 9 4-64857: the cassette itself played well for me, however, like with all tapes, there are a few parts of the tape sound that includes some in-and-out sound between ears / crackle sounds when tape was not playing music before the beginning or at the end of a track, but the music could be heard loudly and was very listenable for me personally. The cassette itself shows light scratches to the black body as pictured. The original paper case is included, case shows heavy scratches and white wear and creases and or stains as pictured. • Cassette 3: Metallica - 1991 Single Black Cassette (The Unforgiven / Killing Time) Elektra 9 4-64814: the cassette itself played well for me, however, like with all tapes, there are a few parts of the tape sound that includes some in-and-out sound between ears / crackle sounds when tape was not playing music before the beginning or at the end of a track, but the music could be heard loudly and was very listenable for me personally. The cassette itself shows light scratches to the black body as pictured. The original paper case is included, case shows heavy scratches and white wear and creases and or stains as pictured. • Cassette 4: Metallica - Ride the Lightening 1984 Megaforce (Elektra / Asylum Records 9 60396-4) White cassette tape: I had a few issues with the Ride The Lightening cassette upon my first listen to side 2 from a previous owner’s misuse. I’ve attempted to even out / flatten the tape itself to a better quality of play by playing it multiple times on both sides. I had tested it on a 1990 personal cassette player and it would not play and was ejected by the player. I tested it again with a modern personal cassette player and it played fine the whole-way through, but the sound quality is not as good as could be (probably from age and previous misuse). Including some in-and-out sound between ears, but the music could be heard loudly and was listenable for me personally. I cannot say how the tape will fare or play for you, as playback sound depends on your player’s quality. The tape itself shows heavy wear, including dust and debris and stains from age and use. The original case is included, case shows heavy scratches and wear from sliding. The paper insert is intact but shows white wear and scratches and creases and stains as pictured. • Cassette 5: Metallica - Master of Puppets First White Cassette Tape 1986, Almost Perfect. Elektra – E4-60439 on tray, Elektra – 60439-4 on cassette, special Club Edition. Barcode 07559604394: Cassette has been tested in a small, personal cassette player, and played very well when tested multiple times on both sides. I’ve listened extensively to this cassette and I had no issues with it, however, like with all tapes, there are a few parts of the tape sound that includes some in-and-out sound between ears / crackle sounds when tape was not playing music before the beginning or at the end of a track, but the music could be heard loudly and was very listenable for me personally. Please be aware that your playback may very depending on your player. Tape looks clean without wrinkle and the pad beneath the tape is intact. Cassette shows some signs of cosmetic wear, including some discolorations, stains, marks, scuffs, scratches, edge wear and wear to plastic. Paper insert shows some wear, including white spots from age and use; some stains and imperfections as pictured. One end of the case’s plastic hinge came away and broke as of picturing. The case shows some signs of cosmetic wear also, including scratches and scuffs and dust and debris from careful long term storage. Please see all photos for complete condition! • Cassette 6: Metallica - … And Justice For All Clear 1988 Cassette Tape (Elektra 9 60812-4): this cassette tape came to me from the same previous (original 1988) owner as the Ride The Lightening cassette, however I didn’t find that this tape had been misused. The cassette itself played well for me, however, like with all tapes, there are a few parts of the tape sound that includes some in-and-out sound between ears / crackle sounds when tape was not playing music before the beginning or at the end of a track, but the music could be heard loudly and was very listenable for me personally. The cassette itself shows heavy wear and scratches to the body as pictured. The original clear case is included, case shows heavy scratches and wear and stains as pictured. The case is broken in multiple places. The original paper insert is intact, but shows stains and wear and creases and bends and imperfections as pictured. • Cassette 7: Metallica - 1987 “The $5.98 E.P.” Garage Days Revisited - Elektra / Asylum Records 60757-4 (cassette reads “Not Very Produced By Metallica”) : The tape is original, but the paper insert was replaced by a fan-printed version. The after-market insert reads “Elektra 888 788-4) which is different from the cassette. The cassette itself played well for me, however, like with all tapes, there are a few parts of the tape sound that includes some in-and-out sound between ears / crackle sounds when tape was not playing music before the beginning or at the end of a track, but the music could be heard loudly and was very listenable for me personally. The cassette itself shows heavy wear and scratches to the clear body and some rust to the inner metal as pictured. A clear cassette case is included, case shows heavy scratches and wear and stains as pictured. • CD 1: Metallica by Metallica 1991 Self-Titled Black Album CD (Elektra 9 61113-2): CD itself shows some scratches and wear commensurate with age and use, but played well for me when tested. The original clear case is included, but shows some medium to heavy scratches and wear and stains as pictured. The paper insert is intact, but shows scratches and bends and creases and imperfections as pictured. • CD 2: Metallica - Master Of Puppets 1986 CD Album (Elektra 9 60439-2): CD itself shows some scratches and wear commensurate with age and use, but played well for me when tested. The original clear case is included, but shows some medium to heavy scratches and wear and stains and cracks as pictured. Only the back paper insert is intact, it shows scratches and bends and creases and imperfections as pictured. The front paper insert is missing and not included as pictured. • CD 3: Metallica - 72 Seasons 2023 (Blackened Recordings BLCKND055-2): CD itself shows some barely-there scratches and wear commensurate with age and light use, but played well for me when tested.
