Description: Offered is this lot of four stainless steel butter knives used by the US Army and made by UCCO. Each knife has a large opening in the handle and each handle is stamped "U.S." I think these were used in mess kits. Although I have described these as "butter knives" they taper down to a thin edge on one side of the blade that i think would be capable of cutting meat, etc. I'm not sure how old they are but they certainly seem old enough to be vintage. At the time of original listing I had several four-piece lots of these, all basically the same and in similar condition. Each knife is approx. 7 3/8" long. All are in good condition. I see no damage to the metal itself, but they all have some areas of light surface discoloration and light surface wear from use.
