I have seen these listed as silver coins,but really they are made of billon. Yes,there is some silver in them,but a very small amount.Billon is mainly a base metal such as copper,and a small proportion of silver is added. I am not overly familiar with these particular coins,so don't know the actual silver percentage. However,do note that generally, over the ages and around the world,billon could have as low as 2% silver or as high as 40%.
