GRADING: primarily grade my records visually, based on the Goldsmith rating system of Mint, Near Mint, Very Good Plus, Very Good, Good, and Poor. Questionable marks and scratches are usually tested on a turntable and noted in the listing. I try to err on the conservative side in my grading; but since it is not an exact science, there are bound to be differing opinions as to what constitutes a certain grade. Suffice it to say that I strive to be as honest as possible in my listings, as I plan on selling records, etc. for the long haul and I am not interested in ripping anyone off. RECORD GRADING: NM (Near Mint): Like new, looks unplayed. VG++: A few very faint surface marks, nothing that will affect play VG+: A few more marks than a VG++. Used but not abused. VG: Light scuffs and light scratches, there will be light surface wear to the record. Expect some light surface noise in parts or a few clicks or pops here and there. VG-: The record may have some scratches that will be deep enough to feel. Audible clicks and pops may be consistently present, but no skips. G: A record that has been played and not taken care of. Constant background noise will be present. Buyer should view records with this grade as filler copies.
