Description: The Liberty Head Nickel, or "V" Nickel, was produced from 1883 to 1912. Only the Philadelphia Mint produced the coin from 1883 to 1911. In 1912, the Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco Mint all produced the Liberty Head Nickel. Made of a copper-nickel blend, these nickels were produced in fairly large quantities due to the adoption of coin operated machines. These nickels were design by Charles Barber, who is more known for the "Barber" series of coinage.This item is for 10 coins, each with a readable date, selected at random from the image shown, all from the Philadelphia Mint.
