Description: Lot of 8 Shelia's Collectibles Shelf Sitter Houses. Shelia Thompson is a Charleston-based artist who began selling handcrafted wooden shelf sitters made to look like historic houses and landmarks in the SC/GA lowcountry in the '80s and began producing them commercially in the '90s. The earlier pieces have information about the historic buildings on the back written in Shelia's handwritting while the later pieces were machine-printed. The lot includes the following houses: 1) 1992 Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Savannah, GA (first in this lot from the bulk manufacturing days) - some chips on the steeples and bottom corners, price sticker on the back (you can see this originally retailed for almost $18 when these were popular)2) 1990 Andrew Low mansion in Savannah, GA - earlier handmade piece with Shelia's handwriting and visible nail holes, some chips around the corners and front steps, sticker residue on the back, small crack on the side likely from climate control issues 3) 1990 Isaiah Davenport House in Savannah, GA - earlier handmade piece with Shelia's handwriting and visible nail holes, tiny bit of sticker residue on the back and wear on a lower back corner but the front looks great 4) 1990 Herb House in Savannah, GA - earlier handmade piece with Shelia's handwriting and visible nail holes, remains of a price sticker on the back, chip on upper left corner of the chimney5) 1990 Heyward Washington House in Charleston, SC - earlier handmade piece with Shelia's handwriting, some wear around a few of the corners and along the bottom 6) 1997 Morey Mansion in Redlands, CA - special limited/numbered house #179/260, these later houses also have a hidden skeleton key painted somewhere on the house kind of like a "Where's Waldo?" search later house with a hidden skeleton key painted somewhere, great condition with only slight signs of wear 7) 1996 Rearick Cottage on Mackinac Island, MI - special limited/numbered house #53/103, later house with hidden skeleton key painted somewhere, bit of broken corners of lower level roof, Shelia's signature is fading on the back 8) 1997 Frank Hastings House in Port Townsend, WA - special limited/numbered house #204/265, later house with a hidden skeleton key painted somewhere, great condition with minimal wear Please do not hesitate to ask any questions before purchasing the item. I have tried to describe the item to the best of my abilities. Returns are not accepted unless the item has been grossly misrepresented. I am not a professional seller, and all my listings are from my family's or my personal collection. I will be decluttering and posting things from my parents' estate over the next few weeks so keep an eye out for vintage items and name brand clothing. All items come from a smoke free home. I do use 100% natural essential oil diffusers in my house as a natural pest repellant. I try to air out the items before packing and shipping, but I want to be transparent in case there are any concerns about allergies or sensitivities to scents. I will ship the item within 3 business days once payment has cleared. Thank you for looking!
