Description: For sale is a vintage long match holder in red with gold feet and featuring artwork of a Victorian carriage stop. The metal tube holds matchsticks (or candles, incense sticks) up to 9" long. The lid has two 1/2" hinges along the back seam, rests on the top of the end caps and has a small lip along front edge. The paper art is trimmed to size for lid, partially covering the hinges. The tube sits on four small embossed feet in gold. This piece is in good vintage condition with some visible wear including minor paint loss (photograph 14), a small water stain on art, age related discoloring of artwork and ink stains on interior (photograph 15).
