Description: This is a Natural and live edge Pecan round (slab) out of an OLD (large) pecan tree. It is 20 x 19 1/4 inches". It is 1 3/4" THICK. It weighs FOURTEEN Pounds. Slab #91622. We've gone ahead and cleaned & sanded it AND PLANED it. Other than that we've not done ANYTHING to it (no stain or wax). I did mist it with water in several pictures just to show you what the wood grain will look like should you choose to put a finish on it. Live edge bark all the way around except for a couple of small notches which have aged over to be expected with most "live edge" pieces.This slab has been air dried in our warehouse for just over 3 years so the splits have formed but they won't be progressing. You can leave them as-is......fill them with epoxy (which is a very popular thing to do right now) OR you can fill them in. We leave that for you to decide.Great for many different types of projects. Some people make table OR stool tops out of them. Others make signs. Some woodburn them. I've also seen people cut a straight line off the back (so that it sits straight and flat against the wall) and make floating end tables out of them. AND I've seen them used as wedding guest signature registries (they have people sign the slab and then they spray seal it and turn it into all SORTS of things). I leave all of that to you to decide!
