Description: Lionel Postwar Alco A-B Diesel and Complete O27 Gauge PRR Passenger Train Set ________________________________________This is a used Lionel Pennsylvania Railroad passenger train set including Lionel Alco A-B Diesel locomotives and 3 Lionel Pennsylvania passenger cars, all of which are in excellent condition. The track are all O27-O42 gauge and range from very good to excellent condition. Included in this sale are the following: 1 - Lionel post war #230 Pennsylvania, powered A diesel locomotive with a Lionel pullmor motor, a 2 position e unit which allows it to operate in forward and reverse directions controlled from the transformer, a working headlight and lens, windshield insert and decorative horn.1 - Lionel postwar Alco unpowered B diesel locomotive. 1 - Lionel #16009 Pennsylvania, illuminated, combination passenger coach with window strips lithographed showing passengers inside. This car was built in 1988. 1 - Lionel #16009 Pennsylvania, illuminated, vista dome passenger coach with window strips lithographed showing passengers inside. This car was built from 1987 to 1988. 1 - Lionel #16003 Pennsylvania, illuminated observation passenger coach with window strips lithographed showing passengers inside.. This car was built from 1987 to 1988. 1 - Lionel Type 4651, 15 VA transformer with a speed control, a push to reverse terminal, a 120 volt power cord with a wall plug, a 2 conductor track power cable and a Lionel CTC track power connector. The 4651 was built from 1978 to 1979. 1 - Plasticville passenger station / platform with interior lighting and a Lionel CTC lock on for connecting to the track for power. 12- Lionel O42 gauge curved track sections. 6 - Lionel O27 gauge straight track sections.1 - Track polishing pad1 - Standard operating instruction booklet. I completely assembled the set and tested everything. All of the train components are in excellent condition. The locomotive has been refinished in the color of the Pennsylvania railroad with Pennsylvania graphics. I don't know what the original locomotive numbers were, but these models were built in the 1960's. The passenger cars are in excellent condition, each is nicely illuminated with 2 bulbs inside. The Plasticville passenger station/platform has not been glued together, and has been modified with 2 lamps inside, and comes with its original box .The curved tracks are Lionel brown tie, O42 gauge, the straight tracks are Lionel brown tie O27 gauge. All the track sections are in from very good to excellent condition, some have light rust, tarnish, and some layout paint in spots. These tracks make up a good sized (42" X 72" oval). I lightly cleaned them and made sure that each track has 3 pins, and the train runs nicely on them. I am including a track polishing pad to help maintain the tracks in good condition. I don't have any original manuals for this set, the standard operating instructions I am including are merely generic tips and information.
