Description: Up for sale is a G scale Thomas the Tank Engine. I do not work in G scale so I have no method of testing this item but I can confirm it does NOT work. This item was bought to be modified and the project never was finished. While the body shell appears okay, the chassis is a different story. First things first, that chassis is not held in. Look at the photos, you will see it flops around on the running board. This is bc the piece that holds it in was cut away to fit a different body, but was never finished. There is a motor, but this engine does not have pick ups. I have no way of knowing if the motor works or not. I am pretty sure there were gears inside the chassis that have been removed as well. The eye mech I believe is included, but it is not complete. Some screws are missing to properly hold the eye plate behind the face and as such, it sticks out a little bit. No roof either. What you are paying for here is either a shelf piece or a project to modify yourself. This has been sitting around for years and it is time it goes to someone else.
