The picture depicts the 1776 event when the MARQUIS DE LAFAYETTE signed an agreement with SILAS DEANE who was the 1st diplomat from the U.S. to France. This plate is 8” wide and 1” high. It is in EXCELLENT CONDITION, except for a little shelf wear on the bottom. There are no signs of cracks, chips or crazing.
