Description: This fabulous tree stand has been in my personal collection for years. I am guessing it to be of a 1940s or 50s vintage. I’ve never been able to find another like it. Green painted metal (steel, I believe…it weighs 6 pounds.) Measures 18 inches across each set of points and 5 inches tall. Inside dimension of the well opening is 3 inches across. The thumbscrews all turn freely with no rust. All but one light socket works and it has an extra outlet built into the side as shown in the photos. I included a close up photo of the underside wiring of the socket that doesn’t light. There is a nut cap there, so wiring to that socket might have been replaced. Two of the lights came with the stand when I bought it and do have a couple paint losses. The rest of the lights are from a set of four replacement lights probably from the 1960s or 70s with a price tag of $0.57 on the side. Light bulbs are c7 size 120 v. See the photos for closeups of condition, which I would say is very good considering it’s use and age. There are small spots of rust and some scratches but in spite of both, this stand has a great look. There is a deep well for the trunk and a spear shaped spike inside. I see no holes or cracks in the base. The cord is in good working condition and is quite long.
