Description: Liberty Floral Prairie Dress by Anna Roose Square Neck Smocked Front Midi Small. Absolutely stunning and rare dress in mint condition from renowned Welsh designer Anna Roose. Her pieces come up for sale very rarely (I've seen only a couple in a year) and this is the prettiest one I have seen. In a fine, light wool with an incredible floral print with bursts of pink, blue, yellow and green. Beautiful smocking detail across front chest and on sleeve cuffs. Frill detail across top of square neck chest and on sleeve cuffs. Skirt of dress flares out in very gentle barely thepleats. Zip up back. I believe the print is Liberty as Anna did work with them a lot - however it does not say on tag so I can't confirm - however it is absolutely stunning and vivid- the colours are a little softer than the brightness of the outside pictures - a little closer to the one taken of the smocking up close inside. Size label says 12 - I would suggest fits modern day Size Small UK8-10 US4-6 corresponding with the following measurements: Underarm to underarm: 17" (chest has some give with the smocking and could work on up to 18" across) Waist across: 14" Length shoulder to bottom of dress: 43" Dress is photgaphed on mannequin UKSmall with measurements chest 17" across and waist 14" across.
