JUST GREAT GLASS world class build quality....will last a lifetime leitz...comments back in the day. these binoculars are surprisingly surprisingly small for a night glass...and they have an extra large 6mm exit pupil...a feature so essential to mariners and those who use them while observing from an unsteady foot hold.the 7x42 b is also a favorite with hunters ornithologists and zoologist who need to distinguish details even under the poorest light conditions,when the eye pupil is completely open Over the years binocular design really hasn't changed that much (unlike the constant advance of digital goods), so aside from the occasional reduction in weight and tiny improvements in optical quality, a great pair of binos bought 20 years ago are likely to be just as good today.
