Description: This auction is for aLegends Brass L-MFIItrumpet mouthpiece. DescriptionThe L-MFII has a semi-round rim that is very soft. There is no undercut on this rim, so the inside diameter feels true to size. There is enough width of rim to offset lip swelling, and a high alpha angle for a gentle slope into the cup. The cup is shallow, and the entrance to the throat is rounded to allow plenty of air flow for a nice big sound. Slotting is excellent with the L-MFII. The design elements of this model work together to enhance endurance, range and sound for the player. The L-MFII is perfect for playing screaming lead! L-MFII Specs: Outside Rim Diameter: 1.080" (27.432 mm) Outside Rim Contour: Medium Inside Rim Diameter: .636" (16.154 mm) Inside Rim Contour: Round Cup Depth: Similar to Bach D Customers that have played this model have used it for extreme upper register work and extended upper register playing. This piece has been described as being similar to the feel of some of the smaller Monette pieces. IT IS NOT A COPY of a Monette piece, it just has a similar rim and cup. The L-MFII has the Legends enhanced throat (#27), throat cylinder length, and Legends S backbore. This mouthpiece is kept in stock in three blanks: lightweight, standard weight, and heavyweight . The lightweight blank adds extra sizzle for more of a lead, or 'Las Vegas' sound. The heavyweight blank is extremely efficient; the added mass creates enriched slotting and core of sound.
