Late 15th Century Closed Sallet - Innsbruck Style Sallet and Bevor- padded liner

Description: Hey there! I'm looking to part ways with my late 15th century closed sallet helmet. This helmet was hand made in Ukraine by Old-world Armory using hardened steel (cannot remember the thickness). Old-World Armory has a Facebook page that I recommend checking out to get a feel for the excellent work they do. The bevor is attached to the sallet by the hinges otherwise known as a closed sallet. The bevor hinges open and out of the way to allow the user to put the helmet on. There are various locking mechanisms as seen in the 9th photo to keep the bevor securely closed as well as the visor. These locking buttons have been made in a historical manor to keep the helmet authentic to the time period. Both the bevor and visor can be manipulated to allow for more visibility when not in combat. The padded liner can be adjusted to raise or lower the helmet for a better fit. There is a padded liner for your chin/jaw to keep the helmet secure when moving around. The final picture is the helmet with the harness it was made for. This helmet was briefly used for jousting with some signs of wear. The helmet is bare metal and will need to be occasionally maintained with some kind of a rust inhibitor like Break Free CLP, Renaissance wax etc. Handling the helmet regularly will result in some rust spots from skin oils which can be easily removed. The helmet will rust if it comes into contact with water, sweat etc. but can be easily removed as well. There are various tutorials on the internet on how to maintain armor. The interior of the helmet is not painted and is bare metal with a rough finish. Sizing: My head circumference is 60cm and it fits me well.
