Description: Up for your consideration large pre-world war ll Argenta stoneware big footed bowl made and signed by Wilhelm Kage for Gustavsberg Sweden. This vase is with matte green glaze decorated with detailed goddess in silver leaf. This stoneware bowl was designed by Wilhelm Kåge (1889-1960), well regarded ceramicist who originally trained as a painter and studied under Henri Matisse. Kåge went on to become art director for Swedish porcelain manufactory Gustavsberg, a position he held for 32 years. Marked Gustavsberg (anchor) Argenta, William Kage 916 II, and date letter corresponding for1930s in silver, impressed letter C. Excellent condition with absolutely no damage.
