Description: PAIR OF JEWISH SABBATH SILVER CANDLESTICKS c.1900 BY ISAAC ERLICH STAMPED AS NORMAL "J. ERLICH" - WITH RUSSIAN SILVER KOKOSHNIK MARK ANTIQUE pair of Polish silver Jewish sabbath candlesticks with mark "J. Erlich" for Isaac Erlich of Warsaw a Jewish silversmith c.1895/1900 who specialised in this type of candelabra and Judaica - stamped with Russian silver 84 kokoshnik mark as at this period c.1900 Polish lands were split and controlled by Prussia, Austria and Russia with silver bearing their respective marks . The candlesticks also bear the assayers initials in the kokoshnik 84 mark - "AB" for Aleksandr Vyrzhikovsky from Kiev These candle sticks are a pair with tapered fluted columns on circular bases with grape and leaf motifs . They are in very good condition with hole for candlestick approx 22mms or 7/8" in diameter - bases 13cms or 5"in diameter Size is approx 32cms or 12 1/2" high - weighing 241.5 grams or 8.5 oz.
