Description: RARE Walther & Söhne Art Deco Glass 'Schmetterling' Butterfly Vase produced by adding uranium oxide to the batch which causes the glass to glow bright green in ultraviolet light. (SCHMETTERLING means butterfly in German) Divine molded glass with two relief female figures to the front and back of the vase with outstretched arms. Date: Circa 1930-1940 UNSIGNED. Dimensions approx.: Tall 8 1/4" (21.5 cm) Max length 12 1/4" (31 cm) Max width 5 7/8" (15 cm) Weight 1,956 kilograms Condition: Beautiful as pictured.
