Description: A 6 inch tall rectangular-shaped clear-glass antique OWL DRUG bottle. This antique bottle is EMBOSSED and has much of the COLORFUL PAPER LABEL still on it. This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled top, dating it all the way back to very early 1900! Bottle has an embossed picture of an Owl perched on a druggists mortar, clutching a pestle. The mortar is embossed "TODCo / TRADE MARK". (TODCo = The Owl Drug Co.) Bottle embossed on back shoulder: "The Owl Drug Co."Label reads in part: " ... FROM THE LABORATORIES OF THE Owl Drug Co."Condition: Bottle is in good clean condition. Bottle has age wear and some content haze, though there's nothing significantly wrong with it. The label is original and shows much signs of aging and wear, as seen in the pictures. It has LARGE bubbles in the glass and the label also states "NET CONTENTS 8 FL. OZ." These rectangular clear bottles are the most common bottles put out by the Owl Drug Co. They come in 10 different sizes - from the smallest 2 1/2" tall, 1/2 oz. - to the 10" tall 32 oz. FULL QUART size. This is the HALF PINT SIZE bottle, it is about 6 inches tall and this is the fourth largest size that this style comes in.
