The bases are easy to paint with a superb level of detail and can be freely mixed with bases from many other manufacturers to produce a unique unit. Further Info Made from a durable cast polyurethane resin, these bases are supplied unpainted and without flock or water-effects materials. Due to the intricate detail of these items and the nature of the resin hand-casting process, it is highly likely that a few small defects may be apparent in the final casts such as bubbles or mould lines/flashing. This is an unfortunate result which cannot be helped and can be easily remedied with a small amount of modelling putty and a hobby knife/sandpaper. Indeed, anyone familiar with resin products and some metal casts, even from large companies, will already be familiar with the clean up required. Always be sure to wear a dust mask or respirator when sanding or drilling polyurethane resins. Before painting, items should be washed thoroughly in warm (not hot!) soapy water to remove any mould contaminants.
