Description: This attractive detailed vintage travel map (1:250,000) from 1913 depicts Lake Gards, Italy about 100 years ago. The urban fabric is striking, with rivers, topography, and significant landmarks and buildings identified. The map was created by Wagner & Debes and published by Leipzig Geograph.Anst. for use by Baedekers Guides, the notable German map publisher. It measures 6x11" and is in tinted color. The map is an original map and is not reproduced, but removed from a damaged guidebook. Lake Garda is the largest lake in Italy, located near the Alps in northern Italy. It's a popular holiday destination, and Garda's economy is based on tourism today. The shores of the lake have accommodated magnificent villas since Roman times. Crisp & clean, undamaged, with sharp image. Narrow margins. This map is shipped first class mail, paid by me, in order to keep your cost as low as possible. I've shipped many paper items first class mail over the years with no problems or complaints. It's what the USPS knows best! The map was originally folded into a travel book, and existed there for nearly a century, and in order to qualify for the best shipping first class rate it will be refolded into its original presentation. First class mail offers no tracking, but as mentioned, no one has complained about the time for delivery, normally well within a week.
