Description: Purchased from the Kramer going out of business sale with a lot of other NOS parts. Leading theory is that Kramer acquired this from Modulus in the early 80’s during the inception of the Carerra series, that was meant to be the peak of quality series from Kramer. A factory photo printed Kramer logo was added at some point, as well as a handwritten “ ‘83 Carrera” on the heel. The fretboard appears to be ebony and a very nice, dark, piece at that, frets still have life, the neck profile is a slim C to me but I have never played another Kramer from 1983 so it could be their “unusual” profile from that period, I simply do not have the experience to say for sure. Also, from the specs I see online from others at that time, this could also be a compound radius; I unfortunately am unable to verify this. Don’t miss this opportunity to own a literal piece of Kramer history, not to mention a high-quality neck that has withstood the test of time to this year, 2024 I am also selling an original Carrera neck in another listing; I would be interested in combining as a package deal if anyone would be interested. I would trade for other period USA Kramer parts; bodies, necks, currently looking for two Baretta bodies from the 80s
