Description: KOREAN DPR (not South) CHONGRYON (Korean Residents in Japan Association) 50th ANNIVERSARY MEDAL Seldom encountered medal for the Chongryon's 50th Anniversary in 2005. If we rely on membership numbers alone, the 50th Anniversary Medal is far more uncommon than the already scarce 20th Anniversary Medal (which Warren Sessler's book "Military and Civil Awards of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea" provides a "Rare" rating); the Chongryon had about 300K members in 1975 at it's 20th anniversary compared to the Government of Japan's estimation of 50-70K in 2005. This medal comes with half of its box, missing the upper half. Sold as-is. No returns please. Thanks for looking!
