Description: US Army Captain brought this short sword back from his service Pacific Theater WWII. Passed down through his family. As they recall it came from the battle of Leyte. The scabbard is gone not available. First time ever available or listed on the bay. Blade has impact marks consistent with combat. Mild rusting. No scabbard. Many requests to show the handle area so we have removed it and taken pictures of it. Enjoy. 32" long sword including handle 20.5" blade. No Scabbard (Saya), Blade (Nagasa) 20.5", Guard (Tsuba) brass combat mounts, Sword Point (Kissaski) is very nice, Tang (Nakago) is pictured noting no marks, Peg (Mekug) is original fits perfect, Handle (Tsuka) fits snug and is tight.
