Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA) is made up of 90% Aluminum and 10% Copper. CCA overall provides a cost effective solution to most audio systems. Assembled from stranded 34 gauge CCA, the KCA Kable is equal in size to the Kolossus Flex Kable, but is designed for lighter current loads and not lightening your wallet. By using an area of 12.81mm^2 of CCA, the cable is nearly equal to 7 gauge. This over sizing offsets the use of the CCA compared to standard sized 8 made of OFC. So you get equal performance and at sizable savings. Beware of imitation cables that are more jacket then conductor, be sure to see or obtain cross section measurements or pictures.
