Description: This vintage mountain bike frameset is in very good condition with some marks from use. From approximately 1991. Several people have asked me if the paint is faded. The short answer is, a little bit but barely. The problem is the that the paint is quite reflective, and also the digital camera wants to interpret the colors and brighten them. I can say that there is a small amount of fading which can be noted by comparing the paint that was covered by the front derailleur. You can discern a subtle difference. (See especially pictures #15 and #19 for close ups of the down tube). But that's it. The overall effect of the paint is still a deep shade of pink fading to a deep blue through the deep purple. I have added a couple pictures I took in low light, trying to cut down on the reflective effect. (#2 and #3). To be honest, nothing I do quite captures the exact color as I see with my own eyes. But again, compare the down tube where the derailleur was to the rest and you can tell that at least there is very little difference from fading. The fork and stem fade from purple to blue, but it's mostly purple and there is no pink. The Blue and purple are a match to the blue and purple of the frame, as far as I can tell. I don't know why there is no pink in the front. There are no dents and no cracks. The handlebars are intact and not crushed on the ends. The headset feels solid and smooth. Bottom bracket spindle also smooth with no play. Sold by Trued Wheel in conjunction with Vintage Velo Venice.
