Kantha Midi Duster Vest REVERSABLE Pockets OS Ethnic Long Stitches OOAK

Description: Offered here is a reversible ethnic cotton duster vest made of a kantha fabric, one size open overcoat design with no buttons or ties. OOAK, it has large pockets built in on either side and seams are bound in red on the darker side, which lends to a nice bold contrast. My Mom purchased it a few years ago and never wore it. It is clean and in new condition. It is made of a standard long-stitched double sided kantha fabric which is slightly stiffer, most likely with a facing sandwiched in between the layers. Open front with 3" placketed edge which extends up to a stand-up collar. Large open armholes which would accommodate a fluid blouse or simply a regular top. There are no tags (she may have removed one) but there is VitaliPrint printed in letters on the fabric in one area. I own several Kantha coverlets, and this is slightly thinner (no more than 2-layers) as opposed to my coverlets which have 3 or more layers. As noted, I believe there is a layer of facing in between the two sides, as it has more structure for wearing as a garment. Also, kantha stiches by nature are loose and sometimes there are random threads here and there, which do appear on the fabric of this garment. Since my Mom purchased it, it has never been worn nor washed, and is in new condition, clean, and appears the same the day she purchased it. Since there are no tags or washing instructions, and it is known that it is cotton, it may be either dry cleaned or, if you choose, gently washed. No scents, no stains. My parent's are both now quite compromised and we are slowly clearing out their belongings. This was a lovely garment I was pleased to find hanging in her closet under plastic!
