Description: Features: The island of Zeeland in Denmark has a rich ceramics history and was home to Kalundborg Keramik. Over its brief life in the 1970s it produced some high quality stoneware pieces such as the vase listed here. The Kalundborg Keramik workshop was established in 1976 by Svend Børge Johansen (1928-2000) after he returned to his home town after a number of years living abroad. Johansen had, as a youth, been an apprentice at Holbæk Pottery, another well-known workshop in northern Zeeland. Not long after its founding, Kalundborg encountered financial problems and was finally dissolved in 1988. This vase or pot has a matte glazed finish. It is signed on the bottom. There are 2 felt disks attached to protect furniture. Brand: Kalundborg Keramic Color: Tan/Brown Size: Approximately 4.25 " tall with a top diameter of 3.5".
