Description: For sale is a really nice KALA U-Bass. The front, sides and back are made of Bubinga wood with the iconic "Abalone Road Toad" on the headstock. Tuners are original Hipshots. Has Shadow on-board electronics (which work perfectly) - tuner, volume and tone controls. The Piezo pickup under the saddle. The instrument is in excellent shape - no issues with anything. No dings, cracks, scratches or wear and tear. It appears to not have been played at all. There was a strap button on the neck that I removed - it was unnecessary and just looked bad and in the way. I filled the little screw hole with wood epoxy and it looks just fine. (See pic) The action is perfect for this type of Bass and the strings are brand new, as are the batteries. The strings will last for several years. This particular model was one of Kala's more premium models and came with a Kala hardshell case - not the usual soft case. The Bubinga model was a limited run and not too many were ever made. I bought this from the original owner who said it was rarely played and was kept in his studio with his other instruments. I am a professional musician (guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin) and can attest that this is a fantastic and fun little Bass to play - unfortunately I have more instruments than good sense.
