Description: Josefina Montoya is the sixth of the The American Girls Collection, Historical Character collection to be released. Josefina represents the region of New Mexico that was under Mexican rule during this historical period of post-Mexican independence from Spain and prior to possession by the United States after the Mexican-American War. Josefina was introduced by the American Girls Collection in September 1997, and was later redesigned and released in 2014. Josefina was the first and currently is the only Hispanic-American historical doll to be produced. This belt is an original clothing accessory of the "Meet Josefina" outfit from the original doll release (1997), not the re-design in 2014. Material is woven cotton, with braided and tasseled ends that will give your doll's outfit a true Southwestern flair. The belt is in excellent, gently used condition, with no fading, stains, rips nor punctures.
