Description: John F. Kennedy Handwritten Notes and Doodles as President on White House Stationery, in ink. The notes and doodles are on the backside of a piece of White House stationery. JFK writes in fountain pen “Hotel Marriott Paris Opera 32-40.” He has underlined each and drew a box around all the notes. On the front of the paper bearing the “The White House Washington” has pencil notes from the Kennedy White House staffer dated 12/9/61. These were retrieved from JFK’s trash can in the Oval Office. Comes from a JFK White House staffer that I became friends with in 1982 and up until their death in 1995. This same staffer wrote a book about their time with JFK and mentions his notes and doodles in the book. Measures 6 1/4 inches by 9 1/4 inches. Vertical and horizontal folds. Still presents well. JFK handwritten notes and doodles on White House stationery are more uncommon than what typically comes to market which is on blank pieces of paper or lined legal pads. This is what makes these notes more rare and desirable. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity from Stephen Koschal, a well known collector, dealer, and autograph historian. He was worked with the FBI to identify fakes and forgeries in the autograph industry. See additional photo showing the COA and more details about the authenticator. A similar item which was notes and doodle by JFK on Air Force One note paper sold at Freeman’s Auction on 11/12/2020 for $4,062. You can Google this to see the details. It had an estimate of $1,500-$2,500 when it went up for sale.
