Description: Came off John Deere LX 266. YOU CAN USE THE SERIAL NUMBER AND THE 48 C MOWER LABEL NUMBER TO FIND WHAT ALL IT CAN BE USED FOR. Very good and ready to use John Deere deck.48 inch and just cleaned it and painted the under side of the deck. Made in USA. PLEASE NOTE IN MY FIRST PICTURE AT THE BOTTOM RIGHT OF THE DECK IS A BLACK STREAK AND THAT IS WHERE WE PAINTED THE UNDER SIDE WITH 5 COATS OF BLACK PAINT AFTER WE CLEANED IT AND IT CAME THROUGH A HOLE AND IT IS NOT RUSTED THROUGH THERE OR ANYWHERE ELSE AND THERE ARE HOLES IN DECKS FROM FACTORY SO DO NOT WORRY ABOUT RUST as this is in great condition. In pictures 6 and 7 PLEASE NOTICE I have the tension spring attached to a chain and if you wish you can change it and attach with a hook to a factory hole AS IT WAS WHEN I GOT IT but the chain makes it easier to attach the spring and much more sturdy. THE BLADES ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH VERY LITTLE USE AND HAVE BEEN SHARPENED. Please note in picture #10 and also #12 SHOWS A BRACE MADE OF ALL THREAD BOLT THAT DOES NOT COME FROM THE FACTORY AND CAN BE REMOVED AS IT IS ONLY BOLTED WITH 2 NUTS IN PRE-DRILLED FACTORY HOLES ON EITHER SIDE OF THE DECK CHUTE OR OPENING. It adds STRENGTH AND MAKES THE DECK MORE STURDY IF YOU HAPPEN TO HIT SOMETHING SOLID AS YOU MOW. I was going to keep it when I traded for it but cannot use it for what I had planned so I cleaned it very good and put 5 coats of black spray paint and the idlers and the SPINDLES OR pulling pulleys and the big black double pulley in the back where you put the belt from motor to deck and the deck belt also goes on this pulley and we call the large black pulley the mule and we greased all and all 4 wheels has grease fittings and we greased them. We done a very good job as we were going to keep it. The deck belt on this deck is used but in good ready to use condition. All in all a very good ready to use John Deere 48 inch deck.
