Jensen JTK-17 Vintage Field Engineer Tool Kit Super Tough Case Excellent Cond!

This is an original Jensen JTK-17 Vintage Field Engineer Tool Kit in excellent near-new overall condition. It comes in the Jensen Super Tough Case and two (2) original Tool Pallets. It includes most of the original tools, as noted below. This kit weighs about 22 pounds and the case measures about 18.5" wide x 16” high x 7.5" deep on the outside, not counting the handles. I’m the original owner and purchased this kit back in the 1980’s. I wound up not taking the job as a field engineer and put this tool kit into storage. I've only used it very rarely for light homeowner use. At the time, there was only one JTK-17 kit and Jensen described it as “The Leader in the Line.” Since then, the JTK-17 kit line has expanded into quite a few variations. A current Jensen kit roughly equivalent to this one will cost you about $1000. The current version of the Jensen Super Tough Case with Tool Pallets costs almost $300 all by itself. I’m including a copy of the original JTK-17 Packing Slip and Jensen Screwdriver Warranty that came with the kit. You can review the kit contents in the photos against the packing slip. I would say that 90% to 95% of the included tools are the original ones that came with the kit. Please note that Jensen sometimes made substitutes when they put these kits together. For example, the larger Phillips #2 screwdriver that came with this kit is Xcelite brand. The items that are missing from the original kit are: Decimal To Metric Calculator (you can do that on your phone), Penlight, 1/4" Drive Socket Set, and Ignition Wrench Set. There are many reasonably priced choices available from many sources if you want to replace these items. I've also substituted one or two items that were misplaced over the years (Allen Hex Key Sets, Offset 90° Ratcheting Screwdriver Set). Note that there is plenty of room in the storage case if you want to add your own additional tools. I am including what I believe is the original Key for the case locks. There is only one key. It doesn't seem to fit all the way into the locks, but it does work to lock and unlock the buckles. some years ago, I added two galvanized steel handles attached with industrial rivets to the sides of the case, to make the kit easier to slide in and out of cabinet shelves. The lower tool pallet has been modified with a zip tie to hold the Jensen T-handle. This tool kit will be packed with care in an extra-large heavy-duty box for safe shipment. ITEM CONDITION: These detailed photos show the exact actual item you are buying. This Jensen JTK-17 Vintage Field Engineer Tool Kit is in excellent near-new super-clean overall condition. I am the original owner of this kit. The majority of the tools are unused. A few of the tools have been very lightly used and may show some wear, but they are still in excellent usable condition. The Super Tough Case is in excellent overall condition, with just some minor scuffs, scratches, nicks, stains, a few spots of corrosion on some of the metal parts, and general wear.
