Description: Here you have a wonderful bit of VINTAGE HISTORICAL MEMORABILIA! Please...SEE THE SCAN! This is an article about mistrust of Japan in the 1930’s and is featured inside a complete 1933 edition of Reader's Digest Magazine. This 3–page article is titled "Japanophobia". Author Roy Mathew Frisen discusses international mistrust of Japan; its moves in Manchuria, its war with Russia, the notion of an occupation of the Philippines and what it would take to go to war with the United States. “Even if her powerful fleet could capture the Philippines and land on several of the main islands of the Hawaiian group, Japan could never reach the mainland United States without first blowing our fleet off the high seas…” Some of this is quite prescient, though the author concludes it would be better to cultivate Japan’s “good will and cooperation.” The magazine is in fairly gently read condition. The cover has some creasing. Not mint, but otherwise quite clean and a tough find! This is a great piece FOR THE COLLECTOR! Take it home with you! GOOD LUCK! I am happy to send this to any country. 1st class air postage will be charged… More excellent packaging, and free 1st class shipping here in the United States! 01277
