Description: Up for sale is a genuine signed Japanese WW2 officers Tachi sword I don't have the proper tools to take off the tsuba but it is signed on the tang. Usually the high ranking officers had this type of sword. It is beautiful and has nice fittings and a custom hand guard. Not sure if blade is Damascus or folded steel - is very strong and sharp. The other sword is an early 19th century battle ready knight sword. I wouldn't do much chopping or slicing as it is not made for that. It was used to bash against shields. It seems to be not used much but it is tarnished and a simple cleaning could bring it back to life Selling both as lot, great swords sure to impress
