It is very important to have the entire table flush and level with the top of the free arm at the needle, so it is important to have the legs on the table for proper fitting. If the table is even 1/8" lower than this point it can cause the table to hit the machine and lift up on the right side. Bringing the table cut out farther out will only create a larger dip and gap between the machine and table as the machine as the machine keeps sloping creating a larger drop off. Our main goal is to create the smoothest, flattest sewing surface, which unfortunately means that the bobbin cases can be covered sometimes as lowering the table will cause a bump from the table to the needle.
