Description: 8.5x11 TLS on thin paper signed at the conclusion in blue fountain pen ink by James Hilton. The letter is dated in 1950 and describes sending a signed photograph to Jim Wiggins. Some edge creasing and a few small edge tears, otherwise, in good condition. (1900-1954) James Hilton was an English novelist and screenwriter. He is best remembered for his novels Lost Horizon, Goodbye, Mr. Chips, and Random Harvest, as well as co-writing screenplays for the films Camille (1936) and Mrs. Miniver (1942), the latter earning him an Academy Award. This lot came from the Jim Wiggins collection we purchased in July 2022. Jim Wiggins accumulated the most unique and valuable autograph collection over a period of 70-plus years.
