A graduate of SanJose Bible College (B . Th.), San Jose State College (B . A., M. A.),and Stanford University (Ph. D) , he is a specialist in educational historyand philosophy. He also holds two degrees in music and has taught ex-tensively in this field . He presently conducts the Chancel Choir , FirstChristian Church, Johnson City, Tennessee.After receiving his first musical encouragement from his mother,Dr . MORRISON’S vocal study has been with some of the nation’s finestvocal instructors , including WILLIAM HEDGPETH and JOHN FINLEYWILLIAMSON (teacher of Metropolitan Opera Star DOROTHY MAYNORand founder of Westminster Choir School, Princeton University). GUSC . LEASE and LYLE DOWNEY (San Jose State College) introduced himto religious oratorio, his speciality. He has appeared as soloist on tourwith quartets , at the North American Christian Convention, and numeroustimes with the San Jose State College Symphony and Oratorio Choir.A helden tenor , his range is tenor , but his timbre is baritone • Therange of this album spans almost two octaves .Dr. MORRISON is married to the former JEAN BOYCE of Akron,Ohio.
