Description: This is a rare large J. B. Owens jardiniere. The Art Nouveau line was introduced in 1901. What remains of the original impressed mark is shown in the pictures. The entire impressed mark would have read: J. B. Owens Art Nouveau 1005. The jardiniere has a high gloss glaze with an underglaze of colored swirls on a green to dark brown background. The overall condition is very very good with no cracks or repairs that we can discern. There is some hardly noticeable crazing in some areas , crazing on the bottom as shown in the pictures, some tiny scratches, scuffs , tiny white paint flecks, and two tiny glaze dings in the rim as shown in the pictures. We have not tried to clean this jardiniere. Again, overall condition is very, very good. The approximate dimensions are as follows: base diameter is 7”, widest portion of the jardiniere body is 13”, mouth + rim diameter is 11”, height of the jardiniere is 9 1/2”.
