It has been newly rewired with a 3-way socket and a cord with a polarized plug. I was able to keep on the original socket shell, so it still has an old patina even though the socket inside is new. This lamp was made with marble pieces that have a yellow finish on them, carved wood pieces with a gilt finish, and a wood base with a thin gesso coating and an old-world finish. The finial might not be original, but the style fits. The base is 8” x 8”. The widest part of the marble is 6”, and the lotus marble piece is about 5.5” wide. The marble has about a half dozen dings, but no big damaged areas. The top marble piece has an area where the yellow finish has worn off. The pedestal pieces have some natural vein hairline cracks in them. The largest carved wood piece has a cracked area, plus overall expected blemishes on all wood pieces. The base shows the most wear of all the pieces, and some red coloring on the corners. The bottom most marble piece has a hole in the side for a lamp cord, but it is unused because of the wood base.
